My name is Tyler Kaenthongrath and fishing has always been my passion. From recreational fishing, tournament fishing and into working at a fishing store, I started to realize how much there is to learn and how many fishing opportunities we have here in Ontario.
I’ve started Tie1On Fishing to share my fishing experiences and spread some of the knowledge I’ve gained so that more people can be successful fishing. There’s many different opinions on “how to fish” and hopeful you’ll find some useful information that you can apply to your next fishing trip!
As an avid Ontario angler, I love to fish for just about everything from bass, perch , walleye, salmon, trout, carp and more. Fishing can be extremely technical or as basic as you want to make it. With so many “Pros” telling you about the latest stuff you need to catch fish, fishing can sometimes feel like there’s too many barriers. Rather than making it seem too complicated, I want to break things down and make fishing more accessible, while also bridging more technical advice for more experienced anglers. All-in-all I want to help you catch more fish!
While Ontario itself is massive and can be wildly different based on local regions, for now most info will be more specific to southern Ontario. The techniques we use here, may differ from what you may see in other regions, provinces, or countries.
